Paimex a Packaging Première

Paimex conquers Packaging Première

Paimex, a leading fabric packaging manufacturer, conquered the stage at Packaging Première in Milan, the trade fair dedicated to packaging excellence. Paimex's display highlighted sartorial quality, sustainability, creativity and exclusive 100% in-house production.

A triumph of style and tailoring
Paimex once again demonstrated its ability to offer high-end packaging solutions for big brands but also affordable for small ateliers and retailers. Tote bags, dust bags, pouches, garment covers and more: a wide range of products with high functional and image content. Each product is made with the utmost care and attention to detail, using both traditional and innovative materials, embellished with multiple printing techniques. Experience, passion and craftsmanship make Paimex the Italian reference for fabric packaging production.
Sustainability, responsibility and 100% in-house production as added value
Quality products and competitive prices are now an inescapable fact and therefore, while still fundamental, are no longer the only terms of market evaluation. Almost all of the brands that visited the Paimex booth stated that corporate values, transparent management, safe production processes, and innovative services are the added value they expect from their suppliers. Being a primary partner of the fashion system, Paimex is familiar with these needs and knows how to place sustainability and social responsibility at the center of its business philosophy. Environmentally friendly materials and low-impact production processes, a safe work space and valuing people are the tools used to produce sustainable and responsible packaging. Design, research and development, cutting, stitching, packaging and transportation are all processes carried out in-house. A strategic choice aimed at meeting customers’ expectations, guaranteeing the highest production quality and service standards.
Paimex 100% in-house
A success that confirms Italian excellence
Gabriele Papini, CEO and sales manager of the company says, “Paimex’s participation in Packaging Première was a real success. The many positive feedbacks motivate us to continue in offering more and more innovative and sustainable packaging solutions and advanced services. Old and new customers, buyers and designers were able to experience firsthand the quality of our production and particularly appreciated the 100% in-house management evaluated as a real exclusivity in the Italian market.”

The bag
with a hat!

It is known, in bags we put a little bit of everything, but where do we put the hat? Too bulky and impractical to handle, delicate and prone to damage inside the bag, it needed a special place to satisfy the need of a rather chic customer. It is so that Paimex has created a bag that can hold a hat able to show off all its charm at the same time.

Paimex and Cristianini: excellences of Tuscany
The ‘Authentic Tuscany’ project was born from the cooperation of two companies that embody the great Tuscan manufacturing tradition: Cristianini, the emblem of straw hats in Florence, and Paimex, the Tuscan icon of fabric bags. In common, in addition to their absolute Tuscan-ness, is a great passion for beauty, the same attention to detail, and the same sartorial quality. The #enpleinair bag is a combination of practicality, timeless elegance and class. Made of heavy cotton and printed with water-based inks, it easily accommodates the refined straw hat. Perfect for the beach and ideal for a walk out of town.

A 105-year history
The longstanding Cristianini Cappelli company was founded in 1919 in Signa. To this day, passing through several generations, it continues to operate with the seriousness, dedication and enthusiasm that have always distinguished it. Made with different materials, from wool to pure silk, suitable for every occasion, their hats and fascinators are still manufactured through original processes. Every step, from design, drawing, the choice of materials to the sewing, is strictly in-house processed relying on the experience passed down over the decades. Today’s hat has certainly changed but Cristianini’s retains the knowledge, craftsmanship and value that only great experience can give. In a world that changes abruptly, it is for Cristianini pride and glory continuing the ancient tradition of the Florence hat designed and 100% made in Tuscany. (www.cristianinicappelli.it)

Attaccabottone, when the bag becomes social

Attaccabottone, the social bag that contains things and social messages, was born by a series of coincidences. Luca Burchietti, an illustrator and professional 3D graphic designer, meets Paimex by chance. Still by chance Luca and brothers Giacomo and Gabriele Papini, who are the new generation of Paimex but also new parents, start talking about the responsibilities of everyone towards the future of all. And again by chance, while discussing, the idea of a social bag arouse. But as Jung said “nothing happens by chance”.

Different worlds, common interests
From the rediscovery of the pleasure of touching matter, paper in particular, Doppio inchiostro research extended to other printable media. For fabric, the meeting could only be with Paimex, a leading company in Italy for the production of fabric packaging customized with prints. It began a professional exchange that naturally bordered on sharing one’s vision of things, thus discovering a common interest in issues of social significance such as sustainable practices, corporate responsibility, peace and more. That’s when the spark was ignited and Paimex, seriously committed to social responsibility, asked Burchietti to design some illustrations that would communicate a social message to be printed on a mini collection of tote bags in which the tote bag becomes a container for things and messages. The “Social bag” project took shape under the banner of environmental sustainability: fabric and buttons from recycled clothing destined for the landfill, recovery of leftover fabric for the closure band and handle, and, of course, solvent-free inks. With this first social and artistic project Paimex inaugurates a new product line, Paimex Art, which will develop similar initiatives over time with the involvement of other artists and creative people. Stay tuned!
Attaccabottone
Attaccabottone: don't waste more time, start now!
The theme of the project chosen by Doppio inchiostro arises as a response to the increasingly pervasive use of our devices (especially by the younger generation, but not only), through which we are perpetually connected, struggling to replace time spent “consuming” media content with “doing” something concrete. It is meant to be an invitation to stop, or at least limit, digital practice in order to start with traditional practice, and to reinforce the message, the illustration is combined a with text:
  • Stop scrolling & Start making
  • Stop scrolling & Start talking
  • Stop scrolling & Start reading
The design of the bag, as well as the language of the illustrations and the tone of the sentences, is decidedly “Gen Z” to better communicate to the digital native audience. ‘Social bag’, the original name of the project, is changed into “Attaccabottone” (Chat up), a “Boomer” word to emphasize a mode, perhaps a bit dated but still valid, for creating social relationships in the real world.

When digital is tight on you
Luca Burchietti is an illustrator and professional 3D graphic designer who since 2006 has been digitally building and animating the most diverse elements: mechanical parts, designer lamps, entire machinery, furniture, natural environments and interior design, passing also through photography to the production of educational short films. Over time Burchietti gets great professional satisfaction but, of course, in the digital sphere every project can only be born and finished inside a computer and so in recent years he began to feel the need to interact with the substance of the things that surround us, which are concrete and “touchable.” This need has strengthened in conjunction with the rise of technologies such as generative AI, which offers anyone the opportunity, with a few clicks and a handful of seconds, to generate illustrations or content. This is where the Doppio inchiostro project was born to rediscover the pleasure of touching the material by hand, starting with handmade paper, which has a tactile and visual roughness that is very different from commercial ones, to press printing that also transmits to the sheet the deformation of the matrix pressure: imperfection as a hallmark of the human touch. The name Doppio inchiostro (double ink) comes from the idea that sheets of paper carry a story, drawn, printed or written. Recovering, mixing and re-assembling them with the aim to imprint a new story with a new ink. One story within another story: double story, double ink. (Instagram > doppio.inchiostro)
